Naperville Veterinarian, Dr. Fauley’s Resume
Hi, I am Dr. Fauley from the Care Animal Clinic and I just want to introduce you to some of the things we do here, how long I have been here and so forth. I graduated from the University of Illinois in 1988. I worked for about 8 years at a few Chicago area veterinary clinics and in 1996 we opened up Care Animal Clinic here in Naperville. Since then, we have been seeing dogs and cats
Naperville Veterinarian, Dr. Fauley’s Specialty – Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy is a simple, natural technique that stimulates the body to repair the painful area when the natural healing process needs a little assistance. Veterinary Prolotherapy used for the treatment chronic ligament pain and hip dysplasia in dogs. Some breeds of dogs are very receptive to the non-surgical treatment. Please call me and discuss any pet health issues
Naperville Veterinarian, Dr. Fauley, is your neighbor.
Although Veterinary Prolotherapy is my passion, Care Animal Clinic is a first and foremost your neighborhood general practice veterinary clinic. I live about 6 miles away right here in the neighborhood of the people and clients that I see so I get to know them in the day to day activities outside of the clinic so it’s nice to be involved with the people that I actually see in the clinic.
We would like to introduce ourselves to the new people and clients moving in the area. We see pets associated with the Fox Valley Animal welfare league. When animals are adopted we are one of the choices that they come for a new patient exam. We’ll do that for Fox Valley residents as well as for new clients. We’ll be happy to take a look and make recommendations. We’ll get you set up on a vaccination schedule. We’ll talk about many different things. Some of the things people are really interested in at the beginning are what and how much to feed their dogs, how big the dog is going to be, what the vaccination schedule is, fecal testing, heartworm testing and many different questions about things that people need to know about. These are some of the things we would like to take the time with so they understand what is involved, expense-wise or otherwise. This is especially important to people who are just starting out as pet owners.
A lot of times people move into Naperville with everything already established somewhere else. (Please tell us at our new client registration form). We would like to see what’s been done so we could move along and keep things on schedule for them. Here we emphasize things like wellness exams. We’d like to do things ahead of time as opposed to waiting until there is a problem. Teeth are one of the things we want to make sure is not something that catches people by surprise and we’d like to address it before it becomes an issue. We do video endoscopy. One of the biggest problems with pets is that they come in vomiting and lacking appetite. People used to not know what is going on especially inside the stomach without performing some form of surgery. With anesthesia, now we are able insert a scope (endoscope) and see inside the stomach without surgery. A lot of times we are able to retrieve “things” that do not belong in the stomach without surgery.
Naperville Veterinarian, Dr Fauley, is happy to be here.
We do dental x-ray. We do digital radiography which is an advance form of obtaining x-rays. We have an in-house lab where we can do blood work. We can do white blood cell counts, urinalysis, fecal tests, among other things. We have a well-stocked pet medications that include things that may be difficult to obtain. And if they are really difficult to get, we will find compounding firms that will get it taken care of. We have a full line of veterinary specialty diets too, more for conditions like renal disease, inflammatory bowel disease, heart disease, and the like. We stock ample amounts of prescription food for various types of health conditions. We like to check for fleas and look at coat conditions and all the typical things we do once a year like ears, eyes, nose, heart and abdomen. That’s what we enjoy doing here and we feel that people and pets like it. We are happy to be here and I chose not to do anything else.
